LANGUEDOC

THE MEDITERRANEAN
Drive 25 minutes south and you hit the coast - with its long sandy beaches, lagoons carpeted with oyster beds and home to flamingoes, pretty fishing villages packed with great seafood restaurants and the gorgeous towns of Collioure, Marseillan and Gruissan. Spend the day on one of the many gay naturist beaches, have lunch and a cocktail at a cool beach club, or watch the sun set while eating freshly grilled fish in a restuarant overlooking the water.
Wine tasting
The Languedoc-Roussillon region is the most exciting wine region in France - with wine makers from all over the world flocking here to set up boutique wineries and produce award-winning wines. There are lots of great wineries close to us that you can visit that offer wine tours and tastings. At the Domaine Saint Hilaire, taste their gorgeous wines in the dappled shade of their beautiful garden.
HISTORY
Languedoc boasts more historic sites than any other region in France, from impressive Roman ruins (the Roman arena and temple in Nîmes and the Pont du Gard Roman aqueduct), to the world’s largest medieval castle at Carcassonne. You'll find countless gorgeous abbeys and châteaux, not to mention hundreds of beautiful medieval villages with their cobbled streets and leafy squares.
PÉZENAS
Pézenas is one of the most beautiful historic towns in France (if not Europe), with its stunning 17th Century cut-stone façades and winding streets. There are lots of nice antique and ceramic shops here, as well as artists’ galleries. And, of course, some superb restaurants - such as Les Palmiers, which serves French-Spanish fusion cuisine on a loft between two buildings.

‘Cinq & Sept is located in a region with plenty of activities but also many great vineyards to spend the day at and sample great wines and delicacies. The local markets in the villages around are also great and to be recommended (Pézenas).‘

MONTPELLIER
The favourite city in France to live in, and an up-and-coming Europe gay travel destination. Montpellier is a labrynth of pretty cobbled streets and leafy squares lined with boutiques, cafés and restaurants serving delicious food. There’s a good gay bar scene here as well as a few nice saunas. Only 50 minutes from Cinq & Sept, escape to Montpellier for a day of shopping and dining.
